Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on June 24, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Guidelines for Corporate Mitra Scheme.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The scheme aims to create a cadre of Corporate Mitras, trained paraprofessionals who will support MSMEs in GST, accounting, regulatory compliance, financial guidance, cost accounting, secretarial services, and corporate governance, especially in Tier-II and Tier-III cities. 

• Eligible Indian graduates or final-year students (up to 30 years of age) will undergo a 12-month programme comprising 6 months of online academic learning (150 hours) and 6 months of on-the-job training in professional firms. 

• The scheme will be implemented through the Swayam Plus portal in collaboration with ICAI, ICSI, and ICoAI. Candidates who score at least 50% and successfully complete the on-the-job training will receive a Corporate Mitra Certificate. 

• Registration fee is ₹3,000 + GST, with a 50% concession for women and candidates from the North East, Himalayan states, and specified Union Territories. Professional firms will provide a stipend during on-the-job training as per institute norms. 

• The scheme will initially enroll 2,000 candidates (including 200 from the North East) on a first-come, first-served basis. It operates independently of other internship schemes and includes online grievance redressal, recognition of best performers, and oversight by a Steering Committee under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
